I try to bring all my passions and interests to my visual work.
When I'm really excited about a visual theme, I get reminded of some of the rapid woodwork and location sketches I did decades ago while I was at school.
I believe that creating an image with a camera is a form of creative destruction. The image is very unlike the subject, either in time or in meaning. A photograph, for instance, can never capture sound on its own. I wanted to step out of my comfort zone, snapping pictures I 'almost knew' with my camera, to begin experimenting with sound , motion and transition. In essence, enriching my experience of a wonderful visual moment.
